Nikita Shalenny’s Virtual Reality work The Bridge was exhibited as part of the 5th Odessa Biennale of Contemporary Art in 2017. Curated by Mikhail Rashkovetsky, the theme was set at ‘Turbulence Area’, addressing the recurring turmoil that characterises cyclical phases of human culture. In an era where the state of turbulence appears boundless, contemporary culture seems at a loss to assume any areas of stability.
